Our first carnival was held in 1939.
In 2024 we will hold our 83rd carnival.
Shouldn't that be 85 carnivals?
Not exactly. Since 1939, the carnival has only been canceled 3 times! The first time was due to WWII. The second time was due to Hurricane Harvey. The most recent cancellation was due to COVID.
Finally. early on in the carnival's life one year saw two carnivals!
